Lakers Try to Defend Winning Streak vs Pelicans

After back to back wins over the Clippers, the Lakers have moved up to second place in the Western Conference. As LA looks to continue building momentum, the Pelicans are their next challenge.

The Lakers have had some high quality wins recently, but their last two losses have come to teams under .500. They will face that test again tonight against the Pelicans, and it’s vital that they stay focused heading into tonight’s matchup. The Lakers are in an extremely tight battle for playoff seeding and need every win they can get – especially from games they should be winning.

The Zion Challenge

Zion Williamson has been playing well as of late for New Orleans, and with the lack of interior paint presence on the Laker roster Williamson will be a tough challenge for them to guard tonight. In the past, LA has had Anthony Davis to lean on in the Zion matchup as well as LeBron James, but tonight more responsibility will be on the shoulders of Jaxson Hayes.
