On the second night of a back-to-back, the Lakers will take on the Sacramento Kings at Crypto.com Arena after an impressive win last night over the Memphis Grizzlies. Anthony Davis is probable for LA while LeBron James is a game time decision. Gabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Jalen Hood-Schifino remain out.

Stay Close Early

The Lakers have had many first quarter woes this season, although those have not been a problem in the last two games. Tonight they face a different test in a very good Sacramento team on the second night of a back-to-back. With LA playing its second game in consecutive nights the energy might be low early, and they can’t let the lead get too big inside the first 12 minutes. They need to at least stay close and keep battling, so that if they do hit a lull early they’ll still be able to take control of the game once they lock in.

Rui Hachimura

Coming back from the concussion protocol, Rui Hachimura has returned with a bang. In last night’s outing against the Kings Hachimura had 23 points, shooting 80% from the field and perfect from three. The Lakers desperately missed Hachimura’s length and athleticism in his absence, not to mention his prolific scoring off the bench. Hachimura is also averaging over a steal a game on the season and has become a productive two-way player for the Lakers off the bench. Hachimura had a impressive playoff campaign last season and now the 25-year old seems to be putting it together in the regular season as well.

Can the Lakers continue their red hot-shooting after their historic night from beyond the arc? Can they avenge the tough loss they took in Sacramento a few weeks ago? Tip off is at 10ET as the Lakers look to go 2-0 on their back-to-back and stay undefeated at home this season.
